My father, who passed away just over a year ago at the age of almost 101, suffered from peripheral neuropathy for many years. It was very painful and the only treatment he received (in the UK) was gabapentin, which had severe unpleasant side effects.
I am now 78, and I believe I have had progressive pr for about 15 years with numbness and tingling starting in the toes and progressively moving into my feet, ankles, lower legs and until recently above the knees. I did have some pain early on (of the "shooting" variety), but I take a number of supplements and couldn't be sure which one or combination has provided relief from that, thankfully (might be MSM, which also seems to keep arthritis at bay).
What I wanted to tell you is that, after reading up on the marijuana legalization in Canada, I decided I'd give hemp oil a try. I've now been taking it (orally) for about 6 weeks and I'm pretty certain that the numbness and tingling has recessed to halfway down my lower legs and the tenderness in my ankles has pretty much disappeared.
As far as I can tell, there are no negative side effects from the hemp oil and I wondered if others might like to give it a try.
