Complications following neck rf rhizotomy

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone had serius side effects or complications following a neck rf rhizotomy. I got seriously unwell about 8 hrs following mine. I got numbness in my right leg, difficulty breathing, blurred vision, dizziness, pins and needles in hands and legs. My GP thought it was a csf leak but the Emergency department consultant thinks its a side effect of the procedure. And has a wait and see attitude. The worst of it passed over the weekend while lying flat continously. I still have the blurred vision and tingling in legs and arms and am exhausted all the time. Its been 1 week since the procedure but the remaining symptoms do not seem to be going. I am worried and wondering if anyone experienced similar? Thank you.

you should contact the department or Dr who done the procedure they will have an idea of weather it’s normal or not. Good luck hope you get sorted
