Hi All

I'm not any help, other than to say I know how you feel, as I also have spinal stenosis. I'm trying to find somewhere else to live, as I can't manage the stairs here, any more. Do you also get cramps in the night when the pins & needles are bad?
Hope you manage to get a suitable place to live. I am lucky as I live in a bungalow so no stairs. No I haven't got cramps at night so far. My pins and needles would be mostly when I am walking rarely when I am laying or sitting.I have severe pain in my lower back a lot of the times. My GP gave me co codamol.
Have you been to see a Spinal surgeon yet?
I am awaiting to see one but it's going to be a long time with the waiting lists.
I can't have an MRI because I have a metal stent in my head used to repair a burst blood vessel, and without one Kings College hospital wouldn't accept my GP referral. So I'm stuck, unless I lose bladder/bowel control -and become an emergency hospital case, then I suppose they'd consider treatment....
My goodness am so sorry to hear that . The thought of a spinal operation frightens me so I will be holding off as long as I can . Like yourself if I ever lost bladder/ bowel control suppose I would gave no choice . I have taken twice a numbness in my groin area when walking but once I sat down it passed in about 5 minutes .. its scarry
Yes, really scary - good luck! Let us know how you go...
