Herniated Disk - Bad Pain

I was just told I have a herniated disk in my lower lumbar. The pain is horrible. Doctor has me on Tramadol until I can get imaging and see a ortho doctor. Does anyone have any tip for the pain?

Hi. I would advise to do gentle exercising and when you are sitting try and straighten your leg and pull your toes upwards a few times. When lying down i put a pillow under my legs and try and take the pressure of the disc. Pain is horrible and i hope the tramadol gives you some ease.
