pregnant after 2 miscarriages.

My daughter is 7 years old, after 2 miscarriages 2 years ago I finally had the courage to try again. We have wanted a sister or brother for so long. Im now nearly 23 weeks, all well in my 20 week scan and even went privately for a gender scan and seen our wee boy in 4D :) as its only been our wee girl for so long she has a playroom painted pink full of her toys, I like being organised and prepared and nothing would make me happier than to start decorating his wee nursery but I cant bring myself to even buy a bib :( Is it just me or is it sensible to wait until my baby is here safe and sound.. I want to get excited but wont allow myself to :(

Congratulations:)

I asked myself the same question, but instead of being scared I went out and bought loads if stuff I'm 22 weeks tomorrow and I'm staying positive:)

Tbh I think at this stage I'm going to be fine and my little man, just think at 24 weeks he would have a good chance of survival if he was born early, but you know I try not to think like this too much otherwise I just send myself mad.

Go for it, enjoy it, you deserve it and so does your little man inside you, have confidence in him and in 18 weeks we will both meet our little men :)

aww thank you :) Congratulations on your little man, we are very lucky :) wow only 18 weeks left, exciting :) the key is to stay positive.. I really want to go buy loads :) thats a good point about 24 weeks tho... im being over cautious. I know ill look back and wish i had enjoyed my pregnancy more.. and worrying so much is not good for him :) :) Thanks again i think ill go for it and buy him something nice tomorrow :)

Yes, do that. Retail therapy helps with this - I've tried it ;) Your little boy has been staying with you for almost 23 weeks, there is no reason to believe he could change his mind now. With your daughter, everything went well too!

I also worried all the time, but once 24 weeks were over, I calmed down considerably.

I'm a bit jealous you could see your little boy in 4D. I had a scan last Friday, and since my husband can't go to the scans with me because of work, I wanted to bring him a 4D-picture of our little boy's face. But baby had other plans, and all we could see was the back of his head :D

aw thanks you.. this is the furthest iv got since my little girl so i keep saying things are different this time :) i must try this retail therapy.. iv worried enough :) cant wait until next week when im 24 weeks tho im feeling better already. deff helps to speak to women who are going through the same :)

awk no.. the sonographer said that my little boy was very good for 22 weeks (was just a 4D preview) and that sometimes babies have other ideas and you cant get a nice image with 4D :( xx

Well done you, I too had two misscaradges one after the other. I am now very happily pregnant again and have just eight weeks to go now, I waited untill week 28 to be able to shop for baby clothes, and I still don't think that it's registered with me that little one will be here soon. You have to do what feels comfortable with you, shop when you're ready love. Best of luck, xx :)

Congratulations on your pregnancy so far! I hope you and your family enjoy preparing for your little boy's arrival as soon as you feel comfortable to do so.

Best wishes,

Congrats first of all. I suffered from a miscarriage and then my 2nd was born at 30week.and i had nothing ready at all.

This time round i had everything ready at28wks.! I think if you've got to this point you should start to enjoy been pregnant. Go on a little shopping trip and treat him too a little outfit and build from there.
