some of the comments here really made me feel better.
i am 8-week pregnant and i got a cold. yesterday, i also had stomachache. so i ended up having all kinds of pain, sore throat, back pain, stomachache, headache and very low energy and of course morning sickness. my husband and i almost got into a fight cuz he was forcing me to eat while all i wanted was to throw up. i do not know how long this will last. i did not take any medication. i really want to feel normal again without feeling any pain....

I'm sorry your feeling so ill. There's been a lot of nasty bugs going around hun, have you seen the Dr? Hopefully it will pass soon. Eat little and often and drink plenty
thank you dear. like you said, i am forcing myself to drink lots of water, and i feel a bit better now.
You can take paracetamol whilst pregnant, please do take it, it won't harm your baby and you will feel so much better.
I had horrible cramping with my son during first trimester, we ended up having early scans as i was convinced that I was misscarrying they were so bad.
Please do eat, it doesn't have to be full meals, just whatever you can manage, I found fresh fruit helped me best. Frozen mango chunks became a staple in my freezer.
And finally, this will pass eventually, your little one will be in your arms before you know it xxx
you are such a sweetheart. thank you so much for the suggestions and tips. i will ask the doctor today about paracetamol . the little one was so cooperative these two days. since i was feeling so sick due to the flue, the little one decided to bring less morning sickness, so i feel much better. thank you so much
Honey and lemon is good as a natural remedy if you are feeling run down. Try and stay hydrated as this will help with your energy levels. Eat when you can although I know it’s difficult when you’re feeling sick. I’d also recommend yoga as it is a gentle form of exercise but really helps with all kinds of pregnancy pains. There are very good YouTube videos for each trimester. Also ask you’re Midwife to check your iron levels just to rule out pregnancy anaemia
thank you Ribena. you are right. i was tellin just yesterday to my husband that i shouldn't give in facing the flue. i will resume my workout. and like you said maybe i really need to have my iron checked. thank you for the tips. good luck to you too xxx
Hi I felt the same way this week. I manage to get an appointment with my GP and he prescribed a low dose of paracetamol and Codeine to support with the pain. I was amazed how well this worked. I feel so much better now. Ps codeine is safe for the baby
that is a very good idea. i will talk to my doctor as well. last time, he said he could not prescribe any medication. i will ask about the paracetamol. thank you. xxx
