Why can't I get pregnant?

Myself and my partner have been trying to have a baby for a while now. We have only ever used a condom once, at first he pulled out but for the past year and a half he hasn't but I can't get pregnant and beginning to wonder if something is wrong?

I dont understand why I can't seem to get pregnant, i have a period every month and we have sex at different times of the month.

Any advice is appreciated

Have you tried ovulation tests to check when your ovulating. You can always visit your GP and get some tests done. I’ve been through IVF myself and I first got checked after 2 years

I haven't but I'm going to get some next week. I've been putting off going to the GP incase it's bad news 😕

Or it might not be. There was no reason for me not getting pregnant it was just one of those things. Just be aware funding is being cut in places for IVF etc so when you feel ready it’s best to get tests started as they can take a couple of months to do too x

I used an app called mydays to track my periods then it tells you your predicted fertile period. Ovulation sticks are more accurate. Take some prenatal vitamins like pregnacare. Over a year the doctor will be able to do tests though.

I’d get a drs appt booked in and in the mean time do ovulation tests and make sure you are having sex at the right time as there are only a few days each month you can get pregnant.

Then in the background you can get the appts rolling because it takes time to get all the tests done let alone get referred x

You say you're having sex at different times of the month... if you have a regular period you should be able to get an idea when you're ovulating by using an app... or you can get the strips.

I would still suggest to go see your gp (both you and partner) to see if you need blood tests/seminal tests

I agree I’d buy some ovulation tests and maybe download a fertility app to get an idea of when you should be ovulation and when your most fertile days are. I used Ovia fertility and it was very accurate, when it would say I was fertile I would get a positive ovulation test. We did end up needing to have IVF, this was due to an issue with partners sperm. I’d also book in to see your GP just to have some testing done as this can take a little bit of time. Good luck xxx

8 years is a very long time... has you not seen the gp for blood tests or ivf option?

hey we have a similar situation you and I.But i took the advice i was given to see a Dr for a fertility check up and I did, she prescribed these FertipilPlus women (enhance female fertility) which helps to balance hormone levels and improves uterine lining & egg quality and she said they would help increase the chances of conceiving.
