Hi, it took me a year to get pregnant but I suffer from endometriosis so I thought it would never happen for me but it did.

I changed my diet, ate a lot of fish and iron and folate rich foods. Google fertility foods and incorporate some of them in your diet.

We also used a sperm friendly lubricant. I can't remember the name., but can check if you're interested.

And we had sex every other day except for when i was on my period, it may be a bit extreme but with every month passing my endometriosis was growing so we could not keep trying for longer than over a year.

I tried pregnacare conception as well.

If you can book a holiday and relax!

None of this guarantees getting pregnant but it may help.

Good luck!

Ps. You can talk to your gp about it, they may be able to give you some advice and offer simple test to begin with. If it's not happening there are other things they can offer you. I found seeing my gp about it very reassuring and it took the pressure of because i knew he would look out for me if things weren't going well.

Hi. Sorry all your tries aren't successful. I've tried for many years and became pregnant only with the help of IVF with donor eggs. Basically, it was because of my poor eggs. You need to know what's wrong with you. if you have problems within a year, then you need to talk to your gp or obgyn, undergo medical examinations and check your hormone levels. Maybe something wrong with them or with tubes, lining..actually the reasons could be various, so no one could give you a piece of advice without this, but you can count on our support. luck xx

Wishing you all the best Chelsea! I don't know how long you have been trying for or you and your partner's age?

Only advice I can give you both:

- healthy BMI/weight

- exercise

- don't smoke and give up drinking for a while if you can

- healthy eating - lots of protein, clean foods (not processed food), fruit and vegetables

- take Vitamin D supplement and eat foods with folic acid in it - maybe take a pregnacare conception vitamin?

- lots of sex obviously (but not every day!)

- relax and have fun!!!!

- stay lying down after sex for a bit... :)

If you've been trying for a while, go to GP and speak to them, no point wasting more time?! Wish you all the best for it! Good luck xx

Hi, sorry for my English, but I hope you'll understand what I mean. We've been trying to have a baby for 2 years, after doctors examination they told me that my right ovary is very weak, which makes harder to get pregnant. But the other one was totally fine. After hearing this I decided after having sex to lay down on left side (as I said before doctors told me my left ovary was still strong). And guess what, after first time of trying it, I got pregnant. You can tell me it was just coincidence, but I believe it really helped.

6months is well within normal limits. If you are younger than 35 they normally wait until you have been trying for two years for further investigations, although your gp might depends to do some tests in primary care prior to that.

Hi babe. I am 24 and it took me and my boyfriend 9 months to fall pregnant. We didn't track/monitor ovulation as such, it was more a case of not preventing a pregnancy. However I got really stressed and low when it wasn't happening straight away - as SOON as I stopped worrying, we fell pregnant! No joke, literally a month or two after we gave up and focused on other things. I would say try and be as healthy as you can be, a healthy weight can be really important. And don't stress or obsess about it. Xxxx
