Its fine to take her now. Any germs wud get killed by chlorine x
Hey, you don't have to wait until after their injections. Midwife said you can go anytime and GP said you're fine to take them before but up to you if you prefer to wait.
I've been taking my LO from 10 weeks. I def recommend being ready to feed her after and they do get tired quite quickly so prob 20 to 30 mins will prob be enough for her. Have fun!!!!xx
Ahh exciting I'm going to try taking her next week. Just need to find a costume for her and me (my tummy is so flabby still atm)

Give yourself a break: it took 9months for your body to change and grow a baby; it's going to take time to go back again.

I know but just hate the flabby tummy but still find hard to exercise involving the tummy area as still sore from c section x

I agree with Queenie78!! Although I think us Mummies can be very impatient!
One thing I would say from experience, even if babies love the bath it's quite a big difference at the swimming pool and they can be quite overwhelmed. It can take quite a few visits before they become familiar and splash about like they do at home in the bath!xxx

Mine doesn't even like the bath yet! That's why I'm going to give it a few more weeks. Husband is keen to get her in the water ASAP...at the moment I just can't quite get my head around the logistics of getting me & baby sorted in the changing room! What do you do with them while you're in the shower?! Only way I can see it working is husband gets showered & changed first, & I stay in pool with baby, then when he's done I hand her over at the spectator area for him to go back into the changing room to sort her out, while I get dressed ? Any better suggestions welcomed! :/

I think it will be very stressful too never thought of idea about changing room saga but sounds a good idea 1 of us get out first etc x

I take my LO on my own as hubby at work when I go. These are my tips!!!
Dress her in least amount if clothes, the easier the better - babygro I find works best.
Take a travel changing mat.
Wear your costume and also wear easy clothes.
When getting out, change baby first - safest place for her is on the floor (on her mat) within a changing cubicle so people can't step over her etc..
Get her changed and settled give her a you whilst you quickly get changed keeping an eye on her.
It's def easier with two but does get easier!!!xx

Thanks for this I think anything you do first time can be daunting I think will go with hubby first then try and be brave and do it alone next time x

It's certainly a bit of a logistical operation so it's good with two and fun for you all to go aswell. You'll have a fab time I'm sure!!

No shower unfortunately if it's just me and LO, just get dry ASAP and shower when I get home!!xx

We've got the navy ones - so cute!!
Also just ring the pool and check they heat their baby pool to 30 degrees which is best for little babies - most do xxx

I've got the little swimsuit ☺️ Supposed to be 4-8 months but don't know how I'll get her chunky little legs in it. We're going swimming when my husband is home in a couple of weeks. Oh and getting a tummy control swimsuit for moi lol
It's exciting isn't it just hope she gets on with it and I'm with u on a control swimsuit haha x

Why would she need anything on the top half? Apparently the idea is they replace the need for a swim nappy (altho the idea of everything floating around in there is a bit grim! I might take some BBQ tongs with me to remove them with!

Not sure if she would need anything on top. Oh that's good that don't need a nappy too but I'm with you what if she has a poo lol, lovely!

It might be easier to just wrap baby in a towel and hose her down in te garden when you get home *joke*
You can get little swimmers they are designed for swimming also I always use an all in one as they can get cold and shiver this seems to keep Warmer depends on if ur baby really feels the cold x
Hey. As the others have said, you can take them any time. I took my boy the other week for the first time and he loved it....even when I dipped him under 3 times throughout the swim lol. I bought him a wetsuit off amazon. It kept him really warm....previously had shorts but I wanted him more covered. You can get them for girls too and they are so easy to get on and off its ridiculous!! Lol. As for your figure, well I've not lost any flab or weight since having him, partly from being ill on and off since and partly from being a bit lazy and enjoying chocolate, sweets and takeaways a bit too much lol. I must have looked a treat in my swimsuit but as I was there for baby, I didn't care. I also happened to go when it seemed to be really quiet so that was a bonus haha x

I don't care either -not been swimming yet as little one is only 7 weeks; but the way I look at it: no, I probably won't win any prizes but I'd rather look like this and have my baby than not xx
Wetsuit sounds cute might have to look too I'm going to ring up and check if they have baby pool, temp and quiet times to make it easier for the first time. I'm taking hubby hopefully so won't be so daunting! X

Yh I went with my boyfriend.....I don't drive so going alone would be a bit nightmarish for me though may try one day! It was so fun and easy with 2. I would say though take more than one towel for the bubba. One to get them out with and then one to dry them on the costume is off! I forgot that and had to give up my towel or he would've got a bit chilly lol x

I'm planning on taking Sophia in the next couple of weeks. Struggling to find a pool that is warm enough at the minute though.
Oh really? I thought all baby pools would need to be the same temp? X
We actually live opposite a swimming baths with a baby pool bit when I asked they said the baby bit was never open and the temp in the main pool was 27-29 degrees. Think this is to cold for babies? There is another pool bit that is a good 20mins drive away and I think gets quite busy so was a bit unsure for her first few times.
We have 1 over the road too but doesn't have a baby pool so we have about 1 hour journey roughly. I'm definitely going to check if they have baby pool and temperature. Good luck when you go x
