Myositis UK AGM & Conference

The AGM and Conference 2017 will be on Sunday 2nd July at the Oxford Belfry Hotel, Milton Common, near Thame, Oxford. The format for the day is as for previous years with the charities AGM being held alongside the Conference, which will include separate Break Out sessions for Juvenile Dermatomyositis, Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, and Inclusion Body Myositis.

The charity has a limited number of reserved bedrooms for overnight accommodation reserved at the hotel with preferential booking rates. These rooms can only be booked through Myositis UK and details will be sent to members later in the year.

Advanced registration is required to attend (free to Myositis UK members & one partner/carer). Details to register for the conference will be sent (via post/email) to Myositis UK members. On return of your completed registration form a conference pack will be sent 10 days prior to the AGM and Conference.

As places are limited priority will be given to Myositis UK members but non-members can enquire about places (cost £TBC)

AGM

Conference

The conference will start at TBC.

Doctors from the charities MCR Panel have been invited to hold research updates, background talks and sit on the panel for the Question and Answer session.

Following the AGM the main room will be divided to provide the rooms for the DM/PM and IBM.

The JDM room has access to a courtyard and there will be activities for the children. This meeting room is set out informally. Doctors from Great Ormond Street will be attending.

PROGRAMME - TBC

Meet & Greet Afternoon

An informal tea and coffee meet and greet will be held on the Saturday 1st July in the hotel bar at TBC. If you have registered for the conference please feel free to pop by and join us. This also is open to members attending the conference who are not staying the night at the hotel.

Evening Meal

Members staying at the hotel who wish to dine with other members at the hotel for their evening meal will be able to do so by indicating this on their Registration Form at the time of booking. A group reservation will be made for 1st July 7pm in the main restaurant. Myositis UK will make the reservation but is not responsible for any of the cost of the meal and drinks of the diners. Evening set meal price £TBC.
