Urgent referral and Thumb bending weird

I have now been urgently referred to neurologist due to ending up at a&e at weekend with right sided numbness

Has anyone experienced there thumb on one side bending strangely along with arm numbness and tingling,

I've had a few times when my whole arm spasmed and jerked, but I don't think there's been anything involving just the thumb.

Sorry about new symptoms but at least now you will be seen sooner than the scheduled appointment in 18 months.

I am glad that you are getting in sooner. I know about the numb & tingly feeling. I would almost call it a buzzing. The thumb bending thing. Does it come and go? Or does it just stay? When have muscle spasms in my fingers or even my toes.... I usually have one that just freezes. For a few minutes then it lets go. I wonder if it could be something like this?

When you do go to neurologist make sure that you have a list of questions. They might not all be answered but it is a start.

Yes about the thumb! My fingers often get stuck in funny ways, kind of bent. But I just rub them and they work out fine. Let us know how things go for you! ❤️

Wow I have had an arm or leg go numb & tingly but never the thumb bending. Had parts of my face go numb & tingly. Glad they sent an urgent request for the Neurologist. Yes have a list of questions when you get to the neuro. You may not get them all said but you have them with you they may take you more seriously. I'll be praying for you Mary.
