I made it through what would have been Bills 85th birthday, only had a few tears. I find my self wanting to sleep more as the weather gets colder. Was suppose to see my neuro today but she was running late so I rescheduled until Thurs had to get plants in weatherman is calling for a freeze over night.
We did get all the tender plants in & others protected.

Those "firsts" are always so difficult. Glad to see you posting again! We had a couple frosts a few days ago, then they were calling for possible flurries today on the ridges some miles away. I didn't have enough luck with my garden this year to have anything to bring in. lol. I did get a load of firewood today -- in a downpour -- so I'm set for the winter. I hope.
i am sorry for it was so hard to try to get thru it ...take a nap just don't sleep all day ...life is still there for you to enjoy and he wouldn't want you to stop ...love and happiness filled with many blessings...
I've never experienced that kind of loss, but when my daughter loss her husband six years ago, the "firsts" were hard. Do whatever you need to do, nap as much as you need! 🙏🏾
Mary, it sounds like you really weathered this first anniversary of Bill's passing as well as you could have, and with the change of seasons, that was surely more difficult. Wishing you much strength and peace in the days to come, and I hope you were able to get your plants indoors. Be well and feel well.
Good to hear from you, Mary! I'm glad you made it. You will always miss Bill so much, but it won't always feel this painfully raw. I wish you the best. ❤️
