There may be a MS med out there that could help you. Maybe a MRI or a Spinal Tap could see something. Do you see a Neurologist?

Are you on any meds for it? Is your neuro a specialist in MS?

I have been seeing a neurologist who specializes in MS. I have had a recent MRI. I cannot see th e Dr until July .I wonder if there is any new treatment for secondary progressive MS.

Welcome! My neurologist recently told me that docs are pressing drug companies to focus on treatments for secondary progressive. Apparently there are drugs for a combo of relapsing and progressive, but not progressive alone. Fingers crossed something is offered soon. Good luck to you.

Welcome, Renms! I understand about progressive symptoms. A friend told me this morning she pushes a basket thru stores, after 'making' herself get out of the house. I need to start pushing myself more too.Do you see an MS specialist? Hubs has prostate cancer & having to travel across 2 states to get treatment. I need to travel 1 state over in the opposite direction to see a specialist. Don't give up! I'm 63 & frustrated too, but let's not give up!!

I forgot to say - the MS friend who pushes herself to walk through stores says her balance and her walking have greatly improved since she started. I am rural, so large stores are not just around a corner for me to utilize!! Seriously considering a small, no frills treadmill. But it has to have side rails to hang on! Falling is no fun!
