What New?

I have been making guitars for about 40 years ( very slowly) I have completed 6... Early on because I worked about 60 hours a week as a letter carrier, and more recently because MS has stolen a lot of my dexterity and tactile sensation. Yet recently I did manage to finish my first bass guitar for a dear friend.

Very nice work! What kind of wood is that?

I have dexterity issues too that affect my ability to throw pots, draw.paint, you name it.It takes so much longer to complete something and it drives me nuts!

I blamed it on MS until I found out I have Dupuytren's Contracture. Seeing a specialist in a few weeks so I'm looking forward to getting some help.

I hope you can get help for your hands.

Thanks.:)

I've never used maple but mahogany is my favorite wood. to work with.

Our last boat provided a lot of opportunities for that.I like the way it cuts and the color is beautiful.

Simply beautiful bass! I love the look of it. Mahogany and maple are beautiful woods. I don't know much about that personally, but my friend works with wood and tells me all about it, I simply love the looks of them🙂My husband plays bass and guitar, mostly bass these days. I think it is awesome that you have a great hobby! I sew and crochet, though I have not in a while due to being in a flare. I'm hoping to get back into it as I get out of it though! 🧶🧵

Super nice work! My older brother taught himself guitar and played in nightclubs, back in the day. (He died in '68.)

How blessed you are with this incredible “work of art” you created! One of my favorite artist of this generation is a young sister by the name of H.E.R.! She played with Usher during the Super Bowl halftime. In her early twenties and plays like Hendrix.. Google, if you’re not familiar, authentic artist. Beautiful work you made ! Blessings

Wow! Truly great workmanship! My beloved neighbor/ dear friend used to play the bass, but it was a huge upright one.. he had a number of them but they were all truly works of art!

I found a picture of his bass from a gathering for my dear departed friend.. this was his living room bass he had several others downstairs in the music room .. what I wouldn’t give to hear him play this again 😇
