Ultramarathon runner Dean Karnazes knows something about stick-to-it-iveness: In 2005, he ran nonstop for over 80 hours, traversing a total of 350 miles in Northern California. His words in the above quote can certainly be taken literally in his case, but they also serve as motivation for anyone striving to achieve their goals, whether they require mental, emotional, or physical endurance.
