Good morning it’s a little chilly 🥶 and heavy frost this morning. Thanks for prayers for my brother 🙏 Amazing to me that you have a hip replacement and go home same day 😱 He didn’t sleep at all last night and I think the hospital would be a better place to control pain the first night 🤷‍♂️. Bottom of my foot is really close to being healed over with new skin👍🏼 Home care still coming in three days a week to change bandage 🩹. It’s way sore but coming along 👍🏼. Enjoy your weekend 👍🏼😉🙏

Glad to hear the foot is almost healed!! hang in there. Sorry to hear about your brother. My other half had knee replacement a month ago and he was sent home the same day as well. Apparently, Pre-COVID everyone stayed at least one night in the hospital. But because covid caused the delay of so many joint replacements, our hospital came up with a procotol for sending people home the same day. (ugh!!!). Yes, it's tricky to manage pain during that first night and week.

stay warm - it went from 70 degrees to 40 degrees here in less than 24 hours.

so glad his surgery went good but it is so weird for them to send him home the same day ...wow...so glad foot is getting better except for the pain of playing with your fur baby ....good luck and hopefully your gets some great home care too....love and happiness filled with many prayers for him ...

thank you for the funny! MY dogs had that happen daily 😂. Glad you are a little better and glad his surgery went well. I know the hospitals don’t keep people like they use to but healing at home is beneficial especially if you have a fur baby waiting for you! No matter what we are going through they always make us feel better! (Me anyway- I love animals)!

Happy to hear that your brothers’ hip replacement went well, Kenu ! Now the recovery begins, hopefully it will be that he is no longer in pain when he moves. And you stay on your road to recovery!

Love the comic. Ive been guilty of doing the same. I’m horrified that your brother was sent home the same day! When I fell and broke my hip I stayed 2 days after surgery. I hope he has help, that’s just wrong. Praying for both of you for healing. 🙏

It's amazing how far they have come with hip surgery. 15 years ago you had a week stay afterward now you go home right after you wake up! That cartoon is my Jack. He protested when I started breaking his treats in half cuz he was gaining weight. I told him less treats a day or half more often & he voted for more often hoping I would give him even more during the day🤣
