I bought some hoka tennis shoes today. I told the salesman i have ms (and he saw i walked funny) and he said he’d fitted other ms clients with shoes and put an insole in the shoes, saying they ‘even you out.’ He did a resisted shoulder flexion test on my son without then with the insoles and he fell forward with resistance with no insole then was able to stay stable with the insole. When i tried the hoka shoes with the insoles I noticed a pretty significant improvement in my feeling of stability with walking. So i bought the shoes with the insoles. Pricey but i hope i continue to feel more stable. They’re cute too. Had some nice looking styles

Well, that's interesting!

I hope they work out for you.

My chiro gave me a few inserts for shoes on my "bad" foot.I can't say how effective they've been.

I let you know if I ever get off my arse.

😅

I was just looking at the shoes and they look flexible. Lightweight too?

I bought some after having them recommended by a podiatrist. They do look a little strange with the wider base. I don’t wear them often because I’m too lazy to tie shoes, but they are more stable than regular shoes and very comfortable.

Aetrex insoles. My brother said these shoes (no insoles) (no MS) helped his back pain 100%. He stand all day at his job.

These are the inserts-aetrex

I like that they don't have the big chunk of sole sticking out of the heel. Those things trip me up.

I’m on my second pair of Hokas and really like them. Can’t imagine going back to my old sneakers! (Except they are pricey)

My friend here who runs many miles a week only wears this brand. When he has put a certain number of miles on them, but they are still perfectly wearable, he passes them on to someone else who does not run. They look super comfortable!

I have two pairs of hoka… 😅Pair of all black and a pair of blue ones..

all I had worn for a while before were Nike epic react, the best I had worn for a long time.. unfortunately the Nike ones worn out really fast..

Took a chance on hoka, got two; figured why not?! 🤷‍♂️

Best pair of walking/jogging shoes I have ever worn!

withstood two separate disneyland trips, of all day in the park…

I’m a big guy, definitely support me and my daily walks of 5 miles.

5 miles??!! That’s impressive. How long does a daily 5 mile walk take?

I walk throughout the day, try to get my steps of 10-11,000 steps at bare minimum… When the weather is right, about 2.5 hrs for a straight 5+ mile walk.

Right now, I get small walks here n there, until it adds up.
