I keep meaning to look up a specific thing on google, happens often, but I start reading posts on here and by the time I get back to google I cannot remember what I was looking up! 😂🤣 Anyone else else ever do that? Or something goofy like it? It is actually quite annoying, as it seems like the thing to be looked up was important…I think! Haha. Love to all, Kelly 🤗🤗

Going crazy? Think I am…
Hey Kelly, Yes of course! i don't think it's MS or aging. I think it's just distractibility. It happens to me when someone says OH i saw a great movie on Amazon or something and i say I want to watch it but i can't for the life of me remember the name and there are thousands of movies on there! Time to write things down.
It’s so funny, I think, “ Oh, I’ll just read this post quick” and next thing I know…boom! Half an hour has gone by and no idea what I was looking up! Maybe a special recipe? Maybe how to get to the moon? 😂🤣 Who knows?
It happens to us all. As Sandydemop says, it's just distractibility, especially with things that are not highly significant.
Why yes, I do.
My friend calls it "seeing chickens".
I do stuff like that all the time
All day every day!
Happens to me ALL the time! I will be going to look something up or do something and somebody asks a question or I realize I forgot to do something...the list goes on and on how I get distracted from doing something lol I try to write things down, but that doesn't always help.
We're not going crazy; we are simply eccentric and very intelligent! It takes a lot of brain power to connect Thought A to Thought B and keep moving along. We should feel pity for people who go to research something like "how to cure cancer" and just stop there. Much better to move on to horoscopes and horror movies and chick flicks and chicken farming and planting raised beds and then going to sleep. See how I did that? Much better my way than curing a nasty disease.
😇
Absolutely and usually happens daily🙏🏾
It's a daily occurrence. Drives me batty!
Hey Kelly... ya I do that often.. but not so much anymore... as my daughter says I'm "the list lady"... I have paper and pen at the computer/laptop and the table in the living room even in the kitchen.. to write down things I want to look up, reply to, grocery add ons.. etc..
So my suggestions... list.. paper with pen attached.. with string or something so it won't get lost or borrowed for something else.. haha
Hope this suggestion helps.
Best wishes,
Cathy
I am a list maker too. Problem is that I don't know how to organize all of my notes after I'm done. Then I'm digging through piles of stuff trying to find "that one song that they played day before yesterday that was by that one guy who used to do other stuff but this stuff was better." or "I know I wrote down the name of a knitting book and now I have no idea where it is or how to find it, but it was exactly what I needed."
So the end result is the same. LOL
I make most of my lists by day.. and check off what I have done.. or looked at..
I have a large legal pad by the computer.. I make legible notes on that.
And at the end of the day, I look up what I wanted, copy what I wanted.. etc.
That way it doesn't pile up.. you can keep info to the "pocket" on the computer or lists on Microsoft Excel for lists, Microsoft Word for recipe's.. that way you can find them.. and if you do this every day/night.. no more papers to go thru.. and it doesn't pile up
Sounds worse than it is.. haha
Hope it works for you...and if it does.. you can throw the paper for the day away!!!!!!
That is absolutely me! And I get so frustrated with myself.🤪
Same 4 me
I get it! My brain takes a walk when I'm in the shower. "Did I wash my hair??? I think I did. Really??? Well is my face soap wet because I always wash my face after my hair." This happens more than I care to admit!
I'm glad to hear that you can make lists I'm not sure I can find them after I make them
yes of course i .....so many on here if i am not watching the clock i am on here for a hrs...i hate it ...love to read about everybody but again the dog looks at me like are you ever going for our walk ..oops...yes i have gone on here to look for one thing and at the end of the day think wow what did i look up and where is what i found ...hahahhahahha...joke on us called age i think is the biggest thing and not working and have an busy schedule ...ahhahahah...i don't know ....hahahahhaha....another thing to just laugh about don't stress about it unless it is about your health....
All. The. Time. LOL.. What i do now is is read these on my PC so i can right click to highlight then right click again to "Search" for the highlighted text and it automatically opens a new tab with results..
Yup, If anyone watches Dr. Oz (or used to in the past) he once did a segment on "multi -tasking" - said: "we shouldn't do it, overloads the brain." I guess I'm in trouble then....one thing at a time for me! Blessings all

Happens all the time, Amore55 ! What keeps me focused is having a to do list. However, when I misplace my list, then ‘it does not compute’, and I am on a holiday!
