I started my suspected MS journey on Dec 1. after a T2 hyperintensive lesion was found in the periventricular region. I had blood tests the same night and just had a lumbar puncture on Friday. Those of you who have an official diagnosis and had lumbar punctures, did your results look anything like this regarding your white blood cells? I’ve always heard white blood cells really shouldn’t be in CSF. Thank you!

Mrs. Adams, I had both done which is used to help with diagnoses. I have been looking thru my old test results and couldn't find the same test. My recommendation would be to talk to your Doctor or a Doctor for the answer to your question. That way you have accurate information.
Thank you. I’ve spoken with one specialist who said my numbers are normal for MS, especially in a relapse. Well, I haven’t even been diagnosed by my specialist yet, so to hear this is normal for MS has me a little curious to know if my numbers in fact aren’t normal in healthy CSF.
wishing you well.
all i can say is i'm sorry you had to have a lumbar puncture. a nurse lied and told me it wouldn't hurt.😤
