G'day family, all good today after a great nights sleep last night and another good one tonight. I remember how I used to dread the night. It meant trigeminal Neuralgia pain and let me say that is no joke, the suicide pain my doctor used to call it. She was always so nice and I wondered why pity I guess. Then came along three laser surgeries and I was good for five years. I think I am running low on time but maybe I can drag it out a bit longer. Here is hoping. Whoever said there is no pain in ms was either lying or did not want to scare "YOU". Yes, there is, all sorts of pain and I am sorry to say there is no magic pill to make the pain go away. Most people don't have physical pain with ms I'm just in the lucky few...
I am NOT suggesting that "YOU" are in for decades of pain, NO "YOU" are not. In my experience "YOU" can learn to live through your pains. It is certainly not easy, it takes a lot of moral fortitude (GUTS), but honestly "YOU" can do it. Not because I or anybody said. Because "YOU" have within "YOU" a certain something, a strength that not all have. Believe that "YOU" are capable. Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms) may have turned your life upside down, but "YOU" are most certainly capable of living so to speak on your head.
Do not let somebodies negativity upset what "YOU", may want to achieve. Stand your ground and do what "YOU" want to do. There is no need to be rude or aggressive. Some people just do not get it and that is okay, let them be them. It is never your job to please everybody all of the time. Have the strength of character, "YOU" know what and who "YOU" are. It is okay to have a moment or two of self-doubt. That is normal, that is human. have that doubt, then come back to what _"YOU" really are.
When in doubt read this and remember it. "YOU" are an individual capable of great things, "YOU live with Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms).
Royce (your ms writer and brother)
You are capable.
