It's cold here in Chgo and it keeps snowing then it gets really cold afterward so it freezes up by morning. I guess that's just what happens when it's nice for 2-3 winters here and u dont have a normal winter for awhile

I am battling down the hatches and getting the candles ready. We have heavy snow heading our way for a few days and we have been told to be prepared for power cuts, so I am doing as I am told and getting my candles and making sure there are batteries working in everything 👍

Getting the candles and batteries is great but don't forget to fill the cabinets with extra food rations especially canned foods! I forgot that one year, never will again! I grew up in CA and when we moved to Arkansas I had no idea what winter was in the Ouachita Nat'l forest. It gets cold, sometimes snow, sometimes ice tornados, and always loses electricity. When you are on well water you need a lot of stored bottled water too. My first winter here we had a tornado and an ice storm. I feel for those of you that live in real snow country.
