I’m sure you’ll get many responses, but you may also search using the search button on this page, near the top right. That will bring up past posts on the subject you enter.

Welcome to the forum! You should be fine, Ronjonica As greaterexp mentioned, you can search the forum by using the search box in the upper right hand corner. The infusion center should be able to let you know of any safety protocols that must be followed due to this COVID. In my experience, my infusion took about 4 1/2 hours from start to finish, including the 1 hour observation period. I usually sleep through most of it, but I do bring my tablet, and a few magazines, to read and pass the time. Let your neurologist know should you have any further queries/concerns. In the meantime, Keep Smiling and do let us know how it went, okay? :-D

Welcome to the group! There is nothing scary about it. They give you Benedryl and then start with solumedral for 30 minutes, then they add in the Ocrevus. You get to sit there for another 3 hours until the bag empties then you get to wait for any reactions for the next hour. I would suggest you bring your phone, tablet, magazines or a book to read unless you want to sleep. I find it hard to sleep as there are so many bells going off on other machines in the room. My infusion center has everyone in the same room with comfortable recliners all around the edge of the room. They also provide snacks & drinks, especially if you will be there during lunchtime. You might want to check on that with your center. We can also get up and take the machine with us to use the restroom if needed.

First is taking a benadryl and tylenol orally. They will be prepping you at the same time for your infusion site. Once the line is in site back and relax they will run a 20 minute dose of a mild steriod and then start the Ocrevus. You my get a weird taste in your mouth so take some mints.I reccomend that you take your iPad or tablet and head phones. It is a great time to watch a movie
