I do chair yoga (I have limited mobility) several times a week and it helps with my spasticity and muscle strength. I would recommend it

I do gentle stretching yoga every day. Can still bend over and touch the floor without bending my knees, most days! With yoga, it is the intention, not the skill level that matters. It is very helpful to me.

YES! I need to get back to doing it daily, but it has been great for reducing my tremors and spasms. The MS Society has yoga videos on Youtube (including chair yoga if that is a need). My neurologist encourages it, especially since I'm cooped up inside all day.

If interested, omsy offers free virtual yoga for pwMS on Sundays (chair) ,mondays and Wednesday’s

Also yoga moves u has free (donation) virtual chair yoga classes 6 days a week

Gentle yoga and Tai Chi are both useful ways to retain flexibility and improve stability. Without them I would be hunched over and shambling.

Anything that helps circulate the blood is beneficial. Even the slightest amount of stretching will help. Before covid swimming was my thing, It helped on many levels.

Yes, hep for not to be streesed. I have saw people that practiced yoga And they seem like younger , happier, Generous, and sociable ,Empatic also. Many positiv things.

But in my opinión the sport is The Same And more intence, more sacrifice , and proyect each day , month , year. You feel also well doing Sport, and more resist for each day , month , year.

I did find that it helped with balance especially.I also found it too relaxing.

So relaxing that when it came time for savasana, I would fall asleep.

Yes!Doing chair yoga about four -five years 2xs a week (now thru zoom, was senior center) MS society sponsored yoga and regular yoga prior to that. It keeps me moving , helps my balance and spasticity. It doesn't matter how good or bad you are it's your mindset. Go for it. Breathe.

This is not what you asked, but I wasted a lot of money and time on yoga therapy, with no results.

Yes, Yoga has helped a lot:- Reconnecting with every part of my body - getting feelings

- Balance, strength and flexibility

- Learning to breathe to relax and push stress (or symptoms & pain) away

But there are many forms of yoga(Vinyasa, hot, ashtanga, yin, tantra, ...), and it's important to find an instructor that you like.
