Questions probably geared more toward females and a little tmi. Has any one had recurring yeast infections once there immune system has been weakened by the treatments? I was reading that a weak immune system can cause them. Waiting to heard from doctors.

Infections.
My wife had several ailments, but every time she took antibiotics she got a yeast infection. So when doctor prescribed antibiotics he did one for yeast infection. I have had MS over 25 years and I have had yeast infection a few times and doctor said it was because of autoimmune disease 🦠. Hope that helps. Good Luck 🙏👍 Ken 🐾🐾
No, not even after taking an antibiotic...I think it’s diet related.
Each time I get an antibiotic I get a yeast infection. Always. Has gotten so that I get them at other times as well, could be diet, who knows. But it has corresponded with the progression of my disease.
I used to get them a lot in my 20s when I took an antibiotic and sometimes just randomly. I haven't had one for probably 25 years though and have taken antibiotics a few times since. Maybe like kdali mentioned it is diet related. I know I eat healthier than I did then. Certainly a lot less sugar.
If you do have it happen as a few others mentioned your doctor can prescribe a pill to take with an antibiotic to prevent them.
I'm a nurse. Anytime I hand over a prescription I advise them to eat live-culture yogurt every day until done with the abx, especially if they are diabetic or immunocompromised. Antibiotics tend to kill some good bacteria with the bad - it lets the yeasty beasties get out of hand.
I'm glad you are going to your gynecologist; keep going back and searching for answers.
I suffer from an autoimmune disorder called Lichen Sclerosis and at first thought it was a yeast infection.
Hopefully you don't have this, but my point is that you have to keep going back and asking for help from your gynecologist, or they will just assume you are ok. Don't blame yourself about it being due to diet, or laundry detergent. I couldn't have prevented this anymore than I could've kept from getting MS.
Best of luck to you.
