I met my new PC doc yesterday via video, and it was the first one of these "virtual" appointments that went off with the video and audio working the way they are supposed to. And this dude wasted no time. I'd told him about the med my current pc wouldn't authroize a rerfill for. As we were ending the visit, he said, "Well, I sent the prescription to Optum RX. 90 day supply." He'd done that while we'd been talking about other things! He also said he prefers to see new patients face to face so he can actually do an exam. So he wants to see me in 4 to six weeks in his actual office. Wow! I thought it was illegal to see doctors in person, now! LOL!
Meanwhile, I STILL cannot schedule an appointment with my neurologist.

I am also having a phone visit for the first time with my new PRP Monday. I am hoping things go well for me also. It's scary to change after 20 years but has to be done. Any suggestions how most important questions to ask?
I, um, didn't really get to ask any questions beyond "Where can I get a tetnis shot?" Because the doctor opened the visit with a question for me, which was why was what happened with my previous primary care, which allowed me to list off all the reasons I was looking for a new one. And while I was talking, he was sending my prescription into my pharmacy, and ordering lab tests for things like thyroid issues and diabetes--all were "famly history" things I was never able to talk to my previous pc about (even though my mom died of thyroid cancer, and my dad died of diabetes). So, I was amazed by how quickly and seriously he was taking what we were talking about in a brief video introduction to each other. For our in-person visit in September, I will have a lot more questions to launch at him.
