Very nice!
You live in an English cottage, agapepilgrim ? Very pretty!
Not English. Just Kentucky farmhouse remodeled about 5 times. An elderly lady stopped by one day, came in, walked around, and said when she lived here as a child it was 2 rooms and had an outhouse with no running water! We have 2 baths, kitchen, and 3 bedrooms. She was amazed(and 89 years old). Protect our history.
That's a great story, agapepilgrim Thank you for sharing
Well, I just saw the new painting, (beautiful) and all my life I have wanted to paint, and I can't even draw stick figures. I've also wanted to sing, but my daughter didn't even want me singing lullabies to her 2 sons because I would teach them "to sing off key" like I did her and she had to relearn how to sing and now can sing beautifully. I also love to play my saxophone, but never made it to first chair in the band because I could not play "by ear." (I am tone deaf-thus, can't sing on key either and do not know how to "tune my instrument). I always wanted to backpack the Appalachian Trail and the Oregon Trail but had neck problems since 4 and back problems since 14,(cervical spondylosis) but finally convinced my brother and husband to hike for 10 days 20 years ago (had to take 3 pain pills every day and could never even wear a day pack after that trip). By the time we got home, I could not stand up straight, and have never slept on the ground since or hiked over 1 hour (and now not over 5 minutes). Etc., etc., etc what I can't do. BUT, I can rattle on and on and on. My brother calls me motor mouth, my daughter tells me I have no social boundaries when it comes to talking in a social group, and my creative writing professor gave me an A on all my papers but also wrote K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid). So, yes, I can tell a story! (0h, and m neuro psychiatrist told me last year I should write a book because first, no one would believe my life story, and second, it would give courage to people that anyone can make it through anything! (even a 2 room house with an outhouse. And, btw, when I was a kid with 4 siblings, we did live in a 2 room house with a path to the well and the little wooden shack that had unknow varmits under that hole that scared this 9 yr old to prayer every day in 1955 in rural Alabama in the backwoods). Life is soooooo easy now. So that's my story for the day "and I'm sticking to it." Agape!
What a wonderful story, agapepilgrim Sing it from the rooftops, and 'kiss' anyone within hugging distance! Keep Smiling
Very nice!
What a wonderful place to sit and read!
