With all this pandemic mess the schools are closed, but the kids all have work to do. My 8 year old granddaughter had had enough studying & told her daddy, "Daddy, I've been working for a long time, when is recess?" Gotta love 'em!!!

I homeschool my 11 year old grandson daily, since he has issues with ADD. He is amazingly intelligent and scores very high on the national testing. He has trouble focusing and being still, but when he is working on something, he is so tenacious, he almost refuses to take a break. Breaks are very important for them, and so is exercise, good nutrition and sleep. I read everything I can find on ADD, and through prayer, I have been blessed with a lot of patience! I am blessed to have the opportunity to be here for him.
When this whole thing started and all the schools announced they would’ve closing, my 7 year old granddaughter called me all excited to say “I’m going to be homeschooled and what makes it even better - I get recess on my own swing set AND I don’t have to eat the yucky cafeteria food, PLUS I won’t always get I trouble for talking to my friends during class”. 🤣😂🤪
Oh...their little minds are always at work! My 6 year old grandson is home working with his mom during all this. She is trying to keep things as close to the school's schedule as possible. He calls it "Mom school." Grandpa asked him if he gave her an Apple & his response was: "we are home, if she wants an apple, she can get it herself!"
That is so cute...”Mom school”. My granddaughter’s parents are both high school band teachers, and since they can’t very well teach instruments online, they both have a lot of time to do the online learning with Emily. I asked her who was her favorite teacher, and she told me her mom was the Principal and her dad was he teacher 🤪. But her dad assures me that they are taking turns teaching. I’m a long time retired teacher, and am SO glad I’m not having to teach math today. I cannot figure out how to do the core math homework for 2nd grade Emily was bringing home. I’d tell her to wait til mom or dad got home from school to help her with that.
