I've lost my voice after my first Ocrevus Infusion Treatment. I was told that this my throat could get sore. Is loss of voice common?

I contacted my Neurologists office and was told because I previously had trouble with my throat and losing my voice occasionally that it was being exasperated due to the treatment and should return to normal within a few weeks.

I don't know,but I get a sore throat during treatment,it is a side effect.of course always ask dr.

Never heard of it. I've been on Ocrevus for almost 3 years. Did you get all kinds of steroids and other pills before the infusion?

I did get steroids with the treatment and was told that it was being exasperated due to previous throat issues.

It’s an uncommon side effect. I had to look it up because it happened to me too. I’ve had no previous issues with losing my voice.

I was not aware that it was a side effect but now that you've mentioned it and it's happened to me I will be very aware after my next treatment.

How long did it take for your voice to come back?

It's been 23 days for me and it is just starting to show signs of changing back to normal.

It was back the next day! 23 is forever 😵 I had the initial dosing over again because I have a long break. The first dose I had chest pain, and that one I had to look up also! No chest pain the second time, but then I lost my voice. So weird. I had none of these the last time I started it. My next full dose should be fun 🤣

This happens to me as well. Takes a few weeks for my voice to return to normal. I also lose my voice if I'm on high does of steroids so I do wonder if it's due to the steroids taken at the infusion or O.
