I'm getting more and more concerned. There's now been a few DX;s of people that have not traveled or been in close contact with anyone with the virus. By the time they are diagnosed, they've exposed many! We just all need to take proper care of our own selves and those around us.

I keep living every day just like the last. I stay away from people that are sick no matter what they might have. Wash my hands so much they crack and bleed (used to be a chef so it’s a hard habit to break). I’m still more worried at this particular moment of influenza A and B. In summation, pay attention to your surroundings such as the people in it and take care of yourself as well as you can.

I’m a nurse in community health. COVID19 is going to spread just as H1N1 did in 2009. The recommended precautions are the same as for flu. Wash your hands, stay home if you are sick, keep frequently touched surfaces clean. Lysol kills flu and corona viruses and has for many years. Stay well, everyone!

I’m a strong believer in Lysol.

I don't worry about this more than any other flu virus. Any flu can kill or sicken those who are immunocompromised. I agree that we must always be vigilant to keep our hands washed (though not to the point of bleeding, which creates more openings for bacteria and viruses to enter the body), keep away from sick people, and wear an N-95 mask to keep your viruses from spreading to other people if you must go out. Sanitizing surfaces should be done, too, from all I hear. For instance, I am flying next month, so I plan to take sanitizing wipes with me to wipe down every surface I touch as much as possible.

I do wonder if this flu has been around longer than we suspect, but we are just now identifying it. Not everyone who gets this will die, and that's important to remember. Remember all those viruses everyone thought would kill the entire world? We don't hear about them anymore. I think and hope and pray that this will be the same.

Very good suggestions, thank you for Very good suggestions, thank you for Sharing your wisdom. I didn’t say anything before I had my surgery, but my first orthopedic guy declined to do my hip replacement because of what he calls my compromised immune system. I did find a doctor that both my husband and I really liked, he is also affiliated with the hospital I preferred and gave me a private room, Because he just wanted to keep me safe, and anyone that came in the room had to put on gowns and masks. I did very well.

Should we use N95 or N100 mask and should we avoid a reusable mask? Thank you.

I’ve read that either mask is fine, though the 100 is better, and never reuse a mask or keep one that is moist.

I agree. I refuse to get excited about it. Every year or two there is something. We all survive.

Chances are slim to get it and chances are even slimmer to die from it. IMHO.

I 'm concerned about it but just wash my hands when I have been out of my apartment . when I move about in the building I use disinfect wipes to hit the buttons on elevator and handicapped buttons all around building once a week . I've been doing this for a couple of years.

good idea, I carry hand disinfectant and after rubbing into my hands, I cup my hands over my nose and take a deep breath of it,(hoping it may kill any bad germs that flew into my nostrils) Carrying the disinfectant wipes is a great idea!

I always take precautions; our immue system is weak anyway! Prejudice is never acceptable behavior and ignorance, lack of knowledge creates pandemic chaos. My Pastor say it best yesterday in church, "we'll use Godly wisdom, so say God bless you to your neighbor and wave to one another; with love"

Basically, everyone would get - up walk around and hug or shake hands, right now maybe not advisable. Even if this virus wasn't here, some people define their own personnal space. Many different views from the masses and some question total honesty/transparency with the origin of this diseasse. Prayers are needed for all

Blessings -
