I have been south 260 miles in Pocatello Idaho at my buddy’s house on extended visit. Was going down for week to ten days turned into 28 days! Had a really good time and looked at some houses , thinking about moving back 🤔. My son Tyler is up here in Boise about 12 miles from me, but since Jody passed away he is the only one I know. Have lot’s of friends in Pocatello but moving again 😵. I have a brother there also. Looked at probably 25 homes but they all need more work than I want and basements, no thanks wasted space for me, heat, more taxes, etc. Found a new build at right price ranch style but had offer yesterday so it’s pending, dang little late but not quite ready anyway. Seems like my in law’s have written me off after Jody’s passing 🤷. Lots to think about 🤔. Prayers for everyone and stay strong 👍🙏😉😊 Ken 🐾🐾

Ken, you have to do what is best for you. If you feel more comfortable surrounded by friends who will support you and it makes you happy, I am sure Jody would be happy for you. MOVING is indeed complicated and hard work...but, we all need to be in a place where we feel welcome and have the support of friends and family. Keep looking, keep your options open, and make wise choices: you have plenty of time. Offers often fall through, so the builder may come back to you. If this is what you need and want, you will succeed. And if not that house, there will be another.
He loves you, so he'll understand. Besides, now he can come visit you in whatever you find with room for you and a visitor!

No, Tyler hates Pocatello too many drugs there. Last 3 years four of his old friends have died from heroine overdose and 3 others in jail waiting to go to prison. Too much peer pressure and he doesn’t want anything to do with it 👍🙏
So sorry to hear of that, Kenu Like I said, things have a way of sorting out.
It’s sad what happens after someone passes, and it’s not just to en laws, but it does shine light on who people really are and what they are about.
