Gorgeous! Is it thread or yarn?

That is a very thin yarn pretty close to being a thread though I love doing that pattern

nice. they sell those for adults as well for a great deal of money.

I never had much luck trying to sell anything

Cuz of this current generation stores are closing because they’re 2 lazy to walk out the house n get off their phones. They buy everything online

If you ever feel the need and want to sell something that would b the group to target.

Down side u have to deal with crazy individuals and everything that comes with selling anything

That is a good idea. If I decide to I will try the online market

You might want to checkout local county fairs as well. Some of them allow you to set up booths to sell homemade crafts or art. Some of them want a percentage of the sales others have a fixed daily fee. My brother in law does that with his mobile ribs shack. He also goes to any tournaments that are in the state of Michigan. Between that and his regular job of painting the airport tarmac and airstrips he makes a pretty good living.

Sounds good if I ever take a break from the prayer shawl ministry and making things for family and friends I will check into it. Thank you

It is a disappearing art. The patterns are beautiful and so varied. I used to be able to crochet, and I have collected a few old lovely pieces that I found at auctions and jumble sales. I can still do an afghan stitch, but between my inability to see small details as well as my inability to keep a consistent tension on the yarn, anything complex is beyond me. I truly admire those who continue this domestic art form. If I could still do it I would crochet a shawl to lay across my shoulders when I sit too long and grow chilled and feel wrapped in beauty.

Thank you. It is a dying art. I love the challenge of a new pattern. I hope that my hands will be able to continue for many more years

That's very beautiful. My dad's older sister used to do things like that all the time. She made a large table covering for my husband and I as a wedding gift. Sadly she passed away almost 3 years ago, but lived a long time. She was about 93 when she passed. Of the 9 siblings she lived the longest. The others passed away between ages 12 and 86.

So nice that you have such a wonderful item to remember her by. This is a wonderful craft and I think being creative like this gives purpose. So glad she lived a good long life. Thank you
