Hey everyone I hope all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all a happy new year. Just got a letter from my insurance they will ot pay for the mavenclad. It's possible that my doctor didn't fill out the paperwork like she should have. Oh well now we see what is going to happen with the drug company.

My meds
I am so sorry to hear this! I pray this gets resolved sooner, rather than later!
Both you and your doctor should look at appealing that decision. It seems as though many insurance companies will automatically deny expensive drugs, forcing us to appeal, sometimes many times. When my Copaxone was denied, I actually called the insurance company myself, and they said it was simply an paperwork error on the part of the doctor. Whatever it was, the medication was approved.
I hope you can work through this process quickly and can get the meds you need. Please keep us updated about your progress.
sorry about that ...maybe the drug company will help you it is a try ...
just keep fighting them you are the one that makes the choice of what you want to do ...i know it is hard but i think you can do this ...just tell them about what is going on with your body and why you feel you need for this drug and isn't that what they want it to do for you....good luck but keep fighting it will happen ...trust yourself you are stronger than the disease...
I hate January. Between the icky weather and fighting with insurance companies... Best of luck!
It's pretty sad...drug companies want their products used, but patients have to fight to be able to use them. We pay our insurance premiums, we should be able to use the benefits! Doctors can usually make things happen. Praying you will be approved soon.
You need to appeal and file a formulary exception to get the meds. I have done that for a lot of my meds. My dr told me she was shocked how I got the insurance to pay for some of my meds because other patients couldn't get it covered.
It's all about fighting the insurance and using their policies against them.
