is he the first guy with a beard ??? that is what scares lots of children ...good luck next time ...just have her around some other guys with beards and maybe will help next time

Actually my dad had a beard till just recentley so its weird

was his beard as full as Santa's ?? it can make a big difference...might have some friends with beards come around or go see them so she can see that guys with beards are okay ...

Maybe she picked up the wrong vibes about the man, and didn’t want to sit on a strangers knee. We bring children up these days not to talk to strangers. Just don’t remind her of the situation, she will soon forget it. Blessings Jimeka 🤗

Sometimes kids are a pretty good judge of character. They can pick up on stuff we can't. I think we really confuse our young children. We teach them to fear strangers yet once a year we want them to sit on a strange man's lap in a red suit. The red suit is also scary to them as red is a scary color for most people. But having a fear of strangers is a good thing when they are young. My daughter didn't have that fear, everyone was a friend to her. It scared me as we lived in the big city back then. When she was in middle school she was almost kidnapped from the bus stop across from the church/school, luckily, her training and instincts kicked in and she ran back to the church/school. That was 36 years ago. It's so much scarier now.

Santa can look scary in the beginning. Next time, perhaps be the first to hug him and maybe sit on his lap if you can. That might make you daughter more comfortable with the idea of doing the same thing! Merry Christmas!
