My "O bands" were negative. I didn't see the report for any other results.

Oh wow. What did the specialist use to diagnose you with ms? Relapses, mri lesions ? The reason i ask is because i was cis according to one doctor and ms according to another doctor. I also was told that many things mimic ms. My sister in law just tested positive for lymes with some of same symptoms i had

Yes, there are other diseases or syndromes that mimic MS. I think I was diagnosed based on clinical exam, MRI's, the fact that I had some type of neurological "event" (CIS?) over 20 years ago, and this past relapse. I tested negative for Lyme disease, but I had requested the test since we had several cases in my area.

Up to 15% of patients who have a spinal tap/lumbar puncture done as one of the tests for MS will not show any oligoclonal bands in the CSF.

The Obands in my CSF confirmed the diagnosis of what was already evident in my MRI. I was "lucky", I guess, to have text book clinical tests and exams. There was no way it wasn't MS.
