I can think of a few other states that might try those directions for Californians. πππ€£ππ€£ππ
πππ we Californians are not all bad.
My oldest is currently living in the Sacramento area. He's not bad either but he doesn't like living there at all.
Perhaps heβd be happier if he lived a little further out of
Town. We are about 40 miles away and it makes a world of difference! There is so much to do in & around βSactoβ π
This was just a fun reply to Falalalala post on giving directions if you read the post just prior to this one you will understand it better π. Nothing really against any one π Ken πΎπΎ
I kinda figured that. If your route started in Santa Monica and ended in Chicago that would be the old US 50 highway. That was a good joke for our friend πππ
When I visited my granddaughterβs fifth grade class in South Carolina, her teacher said βoh California, the land of fruits and nuts! βI explained to granddaughter some people just need to think before they speak. And Iβm talking about her teacher not you we are glad you are here!ππΎππ
I donβt know if I should feel insulted as a native Californian or if I should just go ahead and tell you instantly that that map is from Los Angeles California to Iowa π. Iβm retired from AAA I know most of those routes without even looking at a map. Iβm guessing you donβt want me to come visit you in Idahoππ!!
Reminds me of years past when some folks in the Pacific Northwest accused Californians of inflating real estate prices in the region. Their reputed slogan was don't Californicate us. Perhaps the feeling has now arisen in Idaho? I was born in Los Angeles, and spent my working life on the outskirts of the city, but rarely tell people here in rural Virginia where I'm from because natives of this region sometimes view even those from the next county over as outsiders. There's grief enough in the world without seeking out more! But your map is funny! Thank you
As a native Californian who only escaped 2 years ago I totally understand. Although I moved to South Carolina I know several people who moved to Idaho. I am just glad I don't live there anymore!! ππ
Where in South Carolina? I'm in the Charleston area.
I am in Rock Hill, I work in Charlotte
I was camping near there over 4 July weekend.
I will be in Charleston for a couple days in December because my son accidentally booked his flight to there instead of Charlotte. Any suggestions on what 20 year olds would enjoy doing/ seeing there?
In December time frame not sure what a 20 year old would be interested in. But there's the festival of lights that displays Christmas lights all over the Jame's Island County Park. During the warmer months most of them hang out at one of the several beaches around here. There's an Imax theater here that most people like. It has reclining seats that are super comfortable...I fell asleep in them once during a late show...I don't go to late shows anymore. Charleston also has a website that lists things to do by month explorecharleston.com. he might find something there that is of interest.
I've been here just shy of 2 years. I'm still learning a lot what's here.
Where did you camp? We like camping!
It was one of the state parks in the area but the name is escaping me right now. I'm trying to hike trails in all the state parks by February. The ones that are farther away I have to plan for over long weekends so that I can camping as well. Otherwise I would fall asleep at the wheel on the way back...that wouldn't be good.
cute
With a map like this, pretty much everyone will be going around in circles. And never mind, 1/2 of the population will refuse to ask for directions!
