It's Monday! The heat has let up here! How about where you are?

How is your MS?

How is it (MS) handling the heat? Did you use your cooling vest? Or stick close to home? Or get out of town?

Let us know! ☺️

I'm doing well.

My MS in the heat didn't act up. I don't know if I'm affected by heat anymore because my sister was complaining about it but I wasn't hot. In the past I was I was dying from the heat would feel like I was about to pass out but not now.

This past winter when it was freezing n there was winter advisories about the cold I was sweating to death when I went outside so I had my coat open.

Also I was the one who always had a jacket cuz of the air being on now I haven't been wearing one, its like I'm not even affected by it.

I dont have a vest or stick. I'm not sure what a cooling stick is to be honest.

Since the whole MS thing I stopped going out of town because I walk soooo slow.

I'm not sure what a cooling stick is either rjoneslaw ? 🤔

And ppl that walk to slow are missing a good time!

U are correct I do miss out on a lot.

My mother travels all over the place. I am listed as her travel companion which means I would fly free. I gave up going with her in 2017 when they had to stop and wait on me, I would just tell them to just go ahead I'll catch up. Hopeful being on the O my walking will speed up a great deal. My sister did notice I have gained some speed since my 1st and 2nd dose, also at pt I was told I had some speed.

The weekend was wonderful! I went to the Cape for the day, and celebrated my daughter's birthday by taking her out to a restaurant. Did not go to the beach because I didn't have time, but I know where ALL the air conditioned places are! Was fantastic to go but it took me all of Sunday to recover! Today, I am back to 'normal', what ever that is. :-D

Phew! Glad my name isn’t Sally! My sister in law’s name is Sandy, and she loved going to the beach! I used to tease her and say that she was going there to look for ‘spare parts’! :-D

Any time spent with either of my daughters anywhere is a wonderful time for me! :D

When I got up at 6am it was 75 and now at 8am 80 degrees and now saying 105 for the high and 75 for the low tonight 🤬. It’s way too hot 🥵 for Idaho. Won’t be doing anything outside today except run some errands in the ac car and bank. I want 75 for the high 🙏😉 Ken 🐾🐾

75 as a high is the PERFECT temp for me! Today it is a lot cooler than the past few days. Was in the 60s overnight. Right now it's 72 degrees, the high is supposed to be 75 and lo of 55 tonight :)

I'm doing fine,thanks.

We went to lunch yesterday but other than that our weekend was low key.

I did alright without a cooling device.

It's definitely cooler now and I will be able to start some clay work I need to get done.

How did you do?

What did you have for lunch? Why no cooling device?🤔 I remember playing in the mud!!😂

I had a Greek salad. I love them way too much!

I am not used to taking the cooling towels just bought yet. What I need is a reminder towel that snaps me into remembering things

Playing in the mud is fun! :)

The temperature is 73 and raining, beats 90’s and high humidity!

Hurting but love the cooler weather!

It’s been in the mud 90s here for the last month I and that’s a little hot even for me cause I love the summer. I haven’t worn anything but shorts and flip flops since May. I very seldom wear a shirt as long as im gone because im always doing some thing in my yard or my shop. So that tells you I don’t have a cooling vest.😝😜🤪.

Buts it’s gonna be 81 and raining today so that will be a welcome relief. But back in the 90s by the weekend😓😓😓😓..

I haven't worn flip flops in forever because I have never really liked the feel of something between my toes. Shorts are not in my wardrobe either. My legs get too cold even in the summer time. However, I do wear tops, all the time, and that's a good thing for everyone concerned, trust me! :-D

I don’t actually wear flip flops I wear I guess you would call strapless sandals. But they do flop a lot.😂😅😓. But at 95’ I really wear to least that I can.😅😂

We came to visit friends who have a summer cabin in the Colorado Rockies. Previously, when we’ve come this time of year, it’s been nice and cool (mid-70’s by day and low 50’s at night). Perfect relief from the sweltering south Texas. However, when we got here last Wednesday it was in the high 80’s - and no AC. After a couple of days of that, we all went higher in the mountains and spent a couple of days where it was much cooler. Back to the cabin yesterday to discover their driveway, about 500 yards of gravel, had all washed away (apparently we missed a good rain storm when we were gone). Trouble is, it’s a good climb up to get to the cabin. I made it (what choice did I have), and the guys spent yesterday afternoon raking the gravel back in place. I’m feeling the effects today...and we’re flying back home to the 100 degree weather today.

We did what we usually do...worked on our house. Dining room this time. We stopped at Menard's to get a few pieces of molding and left with almost $300 in stuff. The red brick of the fireplace in there does not go with the paint color so we bought stone tile to put over the brick. So far this dining room is harder than any of the rooms we've done so far!

It was very hot here in MA. We're lucky we have air conditioning. When it's not on I use a fan and or a cooling towel.

Much to the dismay of my hubby, I weeded flower beds at the front of the house. It was cool in the morning, in the shade and a gentle breeze. I did ok. I have a vest but I really like my cooling towel, it's not as obvious, and after wetting it and snapping it, it really does help and just re-wet as needed. Easier to travel with than vest and trying to keep packs frozen, especially with TSA!
