I did and he said not Tecfedera but he was distracted with his vacation. That night my head had two large swellings and I ended up in the ER. It's Friday now and too late to get help until Monday. I'm not taking any more until I get answers. Thanks for your response.

I've been on tecfidera for a little more than a year. I haven't had any break outs like that. Jazzihorsecat might be right in that it is an allergic reaction, if not to the Tecfidera than to something else you've come in contact with around the same time.

You need to call you our neurologist and the drug company who sent you the med and let them know

I’ve been on it for 2 years and nothing has happened like that

I know when I refilled my script for both Tecfidera and Ampyra they always ask me if anything changed have I experienced anything ie side affects etc. and I told them about when I fell, went into hospital and had issues with my legs they sent me a form I had to fill out explaining what happened and it was sent to the FDA and put into my file with them. So they do take into account everything and they are serious about it

Both drug company and doctor suggested I stop taking it for now. Monday I will see dermatologist to see if there is other trigger. Will check in again.

I have been on Tedfidera for almost a year now and I have never had anything like that happen. If you haven't called the drug company and your neuro yet, I highly recommend it. Keep us updated.

I had been on Tecfidera for years, but didn't experience any rash or hives, talk to your doctor. While better than some other MS DMTs, it doesn't slow down disability, so I am glad to be off it and on Ocrevus.

My 1st med was Tecfidera. It made my white blood count drop like a stone and had to quit. It may be time to try something different!
