So I’m super nervous . Next week hopefully I will be starting ocrevus.
Can I just say I go to a hematology and oncology place that honestly feels sooo depressing. Glooomy wall color, very blah and I know that’s weird to mention but I’m getting my infusions there and it’s such a sad place to be. On top of being scared of the unknown. I don’t know how this will go, I know it’s an immune suppressant but other than that I really don’t know much about it.
I’ve tried looking it up but I’m not sure if it’s anxiety or what but I’m not understanding what I’m reading on it.
If anyone can please help educate me a little on ocrevus in a way I can understand because I’m so nervous. Thanks in advance ☺️

Good morning. I have received two infusions so far and am going for my third in March, so for almost a year now. I haven't been able to understand how it works either, but I can tell you that my symptoms are much improved and my recent mri scans show no increase in lesions. I usually take a spiritual book with me to read which helps keep me stay calm. I like Emmet Fox and Sarah Young. Have faith and trust, and patience. Be well, Sherrie

That place doesn't sound very friendly at all. Can you take headphones and maybe a coloring book? To brighten things up for you? I wish you the best of luck! 🤗💕

This chart does a good job of summing things up, but it doesn't replace discussions with your doctor, who takes into account your symptoms, other health issues, etc. I know that especially during my relapse, I had so much information to take in, but was having serious cognitive issues, making it very difficult to sort through all the information. Your doctor may be able to put it in understandable terms.
Ocrevus seems to have a very good track record so far, so that may be the main thing you can focus on right now. I'm thrilled for you to be starting it. I hope you'll let us know how your first infusion goes and how you continue to do while taking it.
Do you have a bright quilt or blanket that you can bring to liven up the place? The music suggestion and coloring book ideas are terrific! Anything that reminds you of your favorite place at home or elsewhere may help with feeling calm. Picturing the medicine attacking and conquering those bad MS meanies is helpful, too. I hope you'll get other ideas from those who go to infusion centers.
Hi Amartinez215 welcome to the forum about Ocrevus my understanding is that it kills all your bcells or most of them then you feel better they come back very slowly. Take a good book & some thing to drink. Sorry the place you have your infusions is so dreary but taking music or something to help pass the time does help. After it's done you should feel some better and as time passes you'll keep feeling better, at least I did & so did several others. Keep your chin up we are with you.
