Okay, this is my first post!??? I responded previously that with all the snow predicted, in anticipation I dug out snowshoes from decades ago, pre M.S. days, and was planning on trying them once again. After shoveling out from about 12" of snow, not unusual for the Chi-Town area, yes, I got my wife and I to put on those high tech things called snow shoes. We didn't get to the forest preserves like I wanted to, but we did the neighborhood and the neighborhood park. Walking on the parkways rather than the shoveled sidewalks!!! All was great! I fell 2 times, my wife said 3, but with all that blinding snow I felt like I was on that amazon prime show Lone Man Survivor??? which I saw for the first time yesterday after our mini-trip. This guy is dropped off in the middle of nowhere, alone not even a camera man with him, and lives out in the wilderness alone for a week, filming the whole thing himself. First episode was between the arctic circle and the north pole. Yep! Felt like me! No I didn't carry a rifle to fend off bears. Not that he saw any. Don't think my village would appreciate that, carrying a rifle in suburbia. Besides, I've yet to see a bear here. Did the trek around the neighborhood!
Did well, till, oh yeah, my GPS started alarming, "bathroom out of sight!!!" Had to abandon the snow shoes and dash down the block on the shoveled sidewalks, even though I just went before I left! Little kid again!?!? BUT, I did it! Would do it again! When's the next snowfall???
