I feel frustrated that I am losing more and more of my mobility. Is there a treatment I can try? Why does it take so long to get disabilit!

All you can do is keep trying to make your mobility better and wait for SSDI. They took almost two years for mine and I was almost homeless. It will come together.

It’s a must to get a neurologist that specializes in MS and also a regular physician and get both on the same page. Get a hold of MS one on one and they can help guide you thru this. Main thing is documented everything 👍 Good luck and try to stay positive 🙏😉🐾. Ken

not enough information about health insurance or if you are wanting state or federal disability. But I would hire an disability lawyer to file your federal disability claim. They do not charge any fees up front, and they can only get a max of 15% of any cash payment you get. It is well worth it. They can guide you through the process. You may want to file for your states medicaid. It is okay to be angry and frustrated.

Have you been to physical therapy? It can help a lot.

CathyL82, it's Fancy1959. This monster that we live in day in and day out tends to slowly Rob many of us of our Mobility. Mine has gotten so severe that I literally cannot go anywhere without my Walker in hand or my scooter. I've fallen so many times I've had to replace my right shoulder because I literally destroyed it and now I've broken my right knee cap. Not to mention the near dozen concussions I've had in the course of my lifetime. I should have played football and make the big bucks if I'm coming to live with the concussion Factor. LOL!

As far as disability goes I believe the system is generally rigged. It automatically is set up to turn us down twice before a judge is even allowed to get involved. Then before we go in front of the judge we are told by everyone in sight that we need to get an attorney to represent us before. the judge. So now we've been in the legal process at least 9 months to a year desperately seeking the disability that will keep our word together. It took me personally about 16 to 17 months to get approved for disability.

But then the real kicker was that was when the judge approved my disability he pushed back the start date for another 9 months. As soon as my attorney and I went into a different room to discuss this I burst into tears because I desperately needed the Medicare that went along with the disability to have some much-needed medical procedures done that I could not afford otherwise. It seems the only people who actually breeze through the system are those who truly know how to work the and are not truly disabled. It is frustrating beyond belief but keep at it and be persistent and you will get your disability. The very nature of our disease is that it is Progressive in that alone is the final fuel that will get your disability. Keep your chin up and know that I'm here anytime you need to vent or talk about your frustrations involved with the disability system. Take care and best of luck in breezing through your disability hearings. Fancy.

Thanks for your understanding. It will be 4 yrs this Nov. My roller/walker is never out of reach. Now my right leg is going. What do you call it when you have 2 drop feet? My 93 yr old father helps me get in the car and puts my walker in the back seat of the car.
