shopping with the grocery cart and I had this idea that maybe I could jog with a rolator. Anyone tried it?

Are they stable enough?

jimeka idk

Although I saw that someone with MS was using a jogging stroller (sans the baby). I'm unsure whether I'm coordinated enough to use either. I may need to just give it a try to find out ⚠️🚼

I would try the stroller as they are made for jogging. You may want to weight the seat down with a pretend baby. 10lb-20 bag of something?

I just have to find somebody with a baby stroller because I want to check it out before purchasing. But good idea weighing it down

You can also try an exercise consignment shop. There used to be one in my town called, play it again sports. Maybe it's a chain.

I think it's a chain because I believe we have one here in town here in MI.

Or a kids consignment store. My husband said you need a 20 lb weight, and a bag of play sand would do.

Give it a go, but go steady. Keep us posted, photos please. 🏃🏿‍♀️

You have to be extra careful of the rollator flipping backwards. Because the three wheels are close together, it’s a little unstable compared to the jogging stroller.

erash, Go for it, but go slowly and be careful until you get the feel of it!

SueAB have you tried this? If so, how did it work out?

No, erash, I cannot try jogging - I consider myself lucky to make it home from a walk around the block!

I would wonder about hitting a bump on the sidewalk. Would the rollator absorb some shock, or would it bump around? I guess you could just go slowly and see what happens. I'm afraid I'd land on my face!

That would be interesting to see, but I would sure worry about the "falling" hazard if the rollator got too far ahead of the person. We have a little lady in our neighborhood that walks incredibly fast around the block a couple of times a day. She's faster than me when I'm just using a cane!

I would think the stroller would be more stable. And you could sit in it if you got tired. 😀

Hi erash, our high school has a rubber track. I wonder if you have anything like that close by. That could be a safe place to try out a stroller. It’s such an admirable goal!! Please keep us posted. And BE CAREFUL! Linda
