Since I'm already a science experiment by taking Ocrevus...what's a little more experiementation?

So...on top of trying out Ocrevus, I'm also trying acupuncture. Ocrevus is a science experiment for me because it was NOT tested in people my age nor was it compared to any of the more powerful DMT's. And it remains to be seen whether or not there is a PML risk. It hasn't been out in the wild long enough for anyone to say for sure if there is a risk or not.

I decided to try the acupunture to see if it will help with the neuropathy I have in my lower legs every darn day. Its the most annoying thing and can keep me awake at night. (I take gabapentin for it but that only helps a little and sometimes it seems not at all.)

The acupuncturist did the most thorough review of my health history I've ever had. She is going to be treating me in a holistic sense like an N.D. would. I had the first treatment last weekend and will have a treatment once a week for the next few weeks. We will evaluate it at the end.

In addition to the acupuncture once a week, she also has me doing some things to improve my gut health. I've read a lot about this recently in relationship to auto immune disorders so what she asked me to do makes perfect sense: I'm taking probiotics, drinking kefir to meet her fermented foods requirement and drinking a cup of bone broth daily. Its all very interesting.

Let us know if everything you’re trying helps. Maybe others would want to give it a try.

Will do Juleigh21 ! Nothing is ever instantaneous so I’m giving it a month and then evaluate. My sister and bro-in-law are trying the bone broth and kefir because they both have health issues too.

I forgot to include that I’m also trying meditation to hopefully help me fall asleep faster. Lots of things all at once!!

Thank you for telling us about your experiments. Please do let us know how you're doing with it, what works. and what doesn't. I know we're all different, but we sure need all the ideas we can get!

Let us know how you make out. Gut health is very important. Found a great doctor a few years ago that helped me get my stomach straightened out. Have been taking probiotics ever since.

Meditation will definitely help!

Hello Raingrrl!

I tried acupuncture a while ago for my bladder issues (urgency) and, unfortunately, it did not do much but everyone is different :). The acupuncturist also recommended me to do some diet changes, like going vegan, and that somehow helped. I do believe diet is a huge treatment for us. We need to keep inflammation down as much as we can. Good luck with all future treatments and keep us posted please!!! :)

Thanks esalcido ! The acupuncturist has me doing a few diet changes but nothing as strict as going vegan. I'm giving things a try its just that I feel like I'm doing too much at once and won't know what's working and what isn't. Keeping inflammation down is one of my goals.
