Itchy!

I’ve heard MS can cause itchiness but until last week I’d never had a problem. Suggestions? No rash or hives. I just itch everywhere! Calves, thighs, scalp, arms, back and injection sites.

StacyHayward hello. I was only thinking about you the other day, how are you doing? Have you done any good puzzles recently? I have terrible itching especially if I get too warm, but I have found this gel with tea tree and aloevera in it and it takes the itching away right away. Let us know how you get on, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈 🤗

I’m good. I see my neuro at the end of the month and am very excited to be back with my awesome original one.

What is the name of your gel that helps?

Mostly redoing puzzles again. But I did one new one. I’ll have to post a picture!

Hi Stacey, the name of the gel is Aloe Pura, it's an organic Aloe Vera gel with Tea Tree and it really does stop the itching right away.

StacyHayward , I have itching or rather had itching on my back and one thigh. My Neuro upped my Gabapentin and it went away. Good luck.

Itchiness was my first symptom years ago. It always started in my scalp and then jumped anywhere and everwhere else. I saw a dermatologist and an allergist. The only thing that stopped it was Atarax and it took months till we tried it. I don’t know if it will give you relief, but today when the itchiness starts, it’s my go to med! (Could you be reacting to a med?) Good luck.

Maybe but I don’t know which one. I’m on so many! 😁

I've had itchiness for 20 years - always though it was just a dry skin thing, not associated with MS. It comes & goes but the strange thing is it is generally symmetrical, like both calves or shins or feet in roughly the same place at the same time. This winter it has move the thighs and waist... Although a slathering of lotion calms it down I think I may need to revisit this with the Neuro next week.

I’ve had an itch on my lower back and behind for quite a long time. I only feel itchy when I undress so I didn’t give it much thought, I’ve looked and it’s not red.

My itchiness is always located on my right lower back. I have hubby rub in Eucerin Calming Cream. I grow my own Aloe Vera plants for sunburn, had never thought to use it for itching. will have to try that.
