Oh, I feel bad today. Been real hot here the last few days. Been trying to drink a lot of water.
My legs feel like jello, and are achy. They feel like I could collapse at any time. Last time my legs felt like this, I must have fallen 6 times. May make my husband dig out my walker. I don't want anymore falls.

Is it specifically the heat that is the problem? If so, is there any chance you could get into an air-conditioned space?
The walker sounds like a good idea! You don't want to chance having a fall. As we all know, there is no telling how you might land, or what you might encounter on the way down!! Lol! (Plenty of posts here to attest to that!)
Hope you're able to find a workable solution, and some relief, soon! π
Nom_De__Plume. We have AC. They are window units and do pretty good at cooling the house. Then , we have ceiling fans. It's just, I can STILL FEEL the heat. It's feels like it is just boring into me.
I lie in my bedroom a lot cause I can shut the door and get it cold in there. And no, It may not be the heat. Last time I felt like this, I fainted and fell 3 times. Went into urgent care cause I thought I hurt my back. It ended up being my gallbladder. Had it removed. Th as why I say I hope I'm not getting anything
Kath55 Living in FL most of the year, I have found that the quickest way to cool off is to immerse into a tub of cold water. A shower isn't quite the same. Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks for the prayers Rob. Can use them. Hubby digging around in shed for it. Why does he hide it ? I don't use it much, mostly my cane. So he puts the walker in back of shed. With everything around it.
Sounds like my house I have been asking for my bike petals you know the thing that just has the petals. Well any way all I get it's in the shed I know I need to strengthen my legs but I rather not go out side by my self and walk I don't want to fall by myself. I hope your husband finds it for you. Take it easy.
Kath55 I am so very sorry you are feeling so bad. Please stay hydrated, get the walker so you don't fall. Do you feel like you could have an infection, like a UTI or something or do you think it is the heat? I know here in Salt Lake City we had the hottest July on record! I did what you said, I shut myself in my air conditioned bedroom with my doggies and just tried to feel better! π I will be praying for you. Let us know how you are doing, we all really care. Kelly
Thanks Kelly. This last week we took care of our grandkids. Their babysitter was on vacation. So it was up at 7 am for when they came and then entertainment time. My husband did take the brunt of it as they at ages 2 and 5 would not take a nap.
Then we had to sit out in heat while they swam and played
I guess it just took it's toll on me. I over did it this week.
Now, I pay for it while I lay in bed in pain and severe fatigue.
Thankfully you found the walker. Unfortunately you and I from what I read are part of the 80% of MS patients that are sensitive to heat. I have a cooling vest which is great in controlling my core temp, and I would recommend contacting the MS society since I read can get you a cooling vest cheaper then what I paid for mine. I have had this disease for 32 years and heat is the one thing that takes it out of me every time I get into it. I use every type of cooling method (neck wraps, cooling vest etc.) when I am outside mainly because I want to participate in things with my family. It makes me stronger mentally because when I get too hot I get brain fog which is probably because I am so uncomfortable.
Keep the walker handy but get with the society and get a cooling vest. Good luck and do whatever you need to do to keep yourself cool.
How I feel your pain, just remember we are with you.walker is your friend. Its so hard when a setback comes we forget it does get better....hope is the key that truns the lock.heart to you!
