Wow. We were just talking about this rls feeling in arms and other areas. Now I sit here in my chair at 3am with my arm driving me crazy. This is the weirdest feeling. I need to be sleeping so I can continue packing to move today but instead in sitting here waving my arm around trying to get some relief. This stuff sucks.

Sorry Doubled51 , we all feel for you.
Would Gabapentin help? I get that feeling in my legs sometimes and that med seems to help me.
Good luck with the packing and the move today. I hope you live somewhere that isn't too hot today. I'm sorry you're not sleeping better. I've been battling severe fatigue the last 2 days. I got through my move without it and didn't miss it at all.
Ice been on gabapentin for a couple of months now mainly for my feet neck and shoulders and has helped both greatly. The numbness and tingling is almost gone. My neck and shoulders were doing really good until the last couple of weeks so I thinking he probably needs to raise it some as this feeling in my arms has also starts to act up in the last couple of weeks. Just a few minutes at a time normally but seems to be getting worse as the days go by. This move s not helping any. I've been stressed to the max trying to get packed and ready to go. I think the stress is causing my ms to act up big time as the fatigue is in full gear. This is not the time to be totally exhausted. We close on our house Tuesday 18th st 9:30 am and the new place 85 miles north the same afternoon. I'm a worrier about things getting done. I can't stand the thought of not being on time for Dr appt or anything. So trying to get all this done on time is really taking it's toll On me.plus scheduling truck, home warranties, and everytging that has to be scheduled in am stressed to the max. I will be so glad when all is done so we can relax and stress and worry will be over. My body and mind need a rest. Lol. Glad your move went well. God bless.
Doubled51 i have lived with Rls over 30 years. It doesn't get any easier. I take pramipexole for it every night, that way I can get some rest. I hope and pray that all goes well with the move today. Never mind about getting sorted at the new house, sit back and relax, Rome wasn't built in a day. Blessings Jimeka 🌈 🦋 🏡
Doubled51 , I'm sorry about feeling in your arms and for the stress you are under. I pray that your stress level can decrease quickly, as it does seem likely that the combined stress and heat are affecting you. I like jimeka's advice. Great advice any time, but especially during a move.
We don't actually move in until after closing next Tuesday which seems so soon when you are packing up 23 years of stuff. I just feel like I'm not helping get ready. We pick up moving truck Saturday to start loading things so there's a lot to do and I'm so exhausted already I'm almost useless. Thank God for my son and grandson who will be taking care of the loading. Without Them it wouldn't be possible. I made all these plans right after I was dx with MS and didn't realize that the fatigue would last so long. Then our house sold so fast we weren't prepared. But my wife's last day at work will be this Friday and that's what this move was for. To get her retired and out of the stress she goes thru everyday. So many nights she comes home crying and sick from her job. So I was determined to get her out at all cost and this was the only way. When we are done with this my job will be done. She will be out of that job and we will be debt free. I will have accomplished my plans. If I make it thru. But God is good and he will give me the strength to finish this race. Thanks for the encouragement and God bless.
Doubled51 That totally, sucks. But yeah. I feel your pain. I hate saying that. However, at least on this site. When someone says that they mean it. You are on my prayer list. I want to share a quick funny story about the saying. Oh, I know how you feel!. A couple of weeks after I went on short term disability. I had a chance to speak to one of my direct supervisors. (he is an asshat! Sorry to swear, but he actually is.) I had to give him information on a customer. Anyway, He said Ah man, I know how you feel. (after he asked how I was feeling in the middle of a relapse and on steroids.) He said and I quote "ah man, I know how you feel, I have been out for a couple of days. I have an awful cold, my whole body hurts!" I hung up on him. So that is the point of my story. I know how you feel, It sucks and I hate you are feeling that way. Don't over do it. It will just make it worse! We are all praying my friend!

Thank you all. Its great to have people that actually know how you feel. I called my family Dr and they can't see me till the 18th. That's a week from today and the day I close on both houses so that's wonderful. Got a call in to my Neuro but haven't heard anything. I take 600mg gabapentin in the morning and 900mg at night. I think it might be time for an increase. Plus amantadine and Modafinil for fatigue but it ain't working. I believe the stress is aggravating my fatigue. It hasn't been this bad in weeks. Dear Lord carry me thru next Tuesday till this is all over. Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement. You'll never know how much it means to have people that care. I am taking it easy cause I can't do anything else. Love you all and may God richly bless each and every one of you
Doubled51 How I wish we could just turn up at your house and help you and your wife. It hurts us all knowing what you are going through, and we all genuinely feel your pain and frustration. God willing with all the prayers that are going up for you, lots of blessings will come down, let us know how it all goes, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈 🏡 💐For your wife.
All your your prayers are greatly appreciated. God will take care of us. My God shall supply all my needs according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus. He has never failed me and he never will. My son assures me that it might be a rough few days but he's gonna make sure it's done. Our biggest obstacle is loading and disposing of an old piano my aunt gave us long ago. Its so unbelievably heavy it's gonna be a bear to load and get rid of. It's on wheels but that don't help getting on a trailer and getting off. Gonna find some big guys somewhere. Lol.
Doubled51 I'm praying you will make it through the next week. God is good.
Doubled51 i have RLS but only infrequently do I get a similar but milder symptom in my left forearm
Bless your heart! Its aggravating. I only have rsl but I do have hand tremors plus involuntary jumping of limbs.
I take medication at nite that helps alot. It helps me go to sleep and I just hope I stay asleep or it gets aggravating that I can't control it. My pt says to stretch your muscles to help get them relaxed.
Hope you got some sleep!
I've had it before but never lasted for more than a couple of hours so I never thought to talk to Dr. But after2 days and nights I will remember this time. Thank God I finally got some sleep last night. I think I was totally exhausted. So sorry you have to deal with this on a regular basis. God bless
Well I finally just have in and called a junk piano removal service to come get this piano. I'm not gonna take a chance on somebody getting hurt trying to move that heavy thing. My son and grandson are worth much more than $275. So that's some of the stress off my plate. Pray all are doing well. Donnie
Hi Doubled51 ! I sympathize and empathsize because my move is also causing more fatigue than usual. I thankfully don't have RLS but the move has also kicked up some of my other symptoms. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that once I'm unpacked and have some sort of organization so I can find things again, I'll feel better and my symptoms will quiet down.
Good luck! Be kind to yourself at your destination and take your time unpacking. It's not a race against time at that point. I tell myself this everyday when I feel overwhelmed with the stacks of boxes and bins in my garage.
Yeah. If I can just get it packed and loaded I'll be fine. Just the pressure of meeting this deadline is what's getting to me. I asked earlier about having an extra day or to to finish so we didn't have to kill ourselves packing and loading. But the buyer was very adamant that we be out at closing. He wanted to close early but, wanted us out on the new closing date. So we will be loading the last box right before we leave for lawyers office. Getting stuff unloaded will be done on our schedule not somebody else's. I understand your thoughts about boxes and bins. It looks like a mountain of them in my garage. And we've still got stuff to pack and more in the basement. But unpacking will come with time and my stress will be relieved. No pushing thru this fatigue just resting when I get tired. I'm the kind of person that gets stressed about being late for a Dr appt so I'm overly stressed and anxious about not meeting this deadline. Plus we have to close Tuesday at 9:30 then travel 80 miles to close on our new place that afternoon and unload truck after that. I just don't do well with deadlines. Good luck with your unpacking and God bless.
