My latest painting

We have some very talented artists in this group (most much more talented than me) but this is a painting I recently completed of my 10yr old niece who was dressed as Jane Goodall for a school project. The painting makes her look much older 🙁But I'm pleased with the outcome anyway and hope she will be too.

erash Ok, obviously I am no art critic. Also, I have no art talent, unless you call fixing stuff art. Anyway. I like it! Din't know if this is what you are going for, but it's adorable! Keep up painting! They get better and better! Also, They always put a smile on my face!

erash This is great. Portraits are so hard that I have never attempted any. You did a wonderful job. I've started a new painting (now that I am retired), but am discouraged because I didn't stop soon enough and I had eye pain for the whole rest of the day.

Painting is supposed to be joyful, not painful 🙁 It's hard to stop though once you get into a zone. What are you painting?
