CalfeeChick , i couldn't help myself and planted a little garden, even though we are selling. The thought of anemic, crunchy, and tasteless tomatoes makes any effort worth it to get REAL tomatoes!

Yours will be ready to eat soon!

CalfeeChick, that's incredible, you would think that they would fry in 109* weather. I hope that they taste good, blessings Jimeka πŸ¦‹ 🌈

Actually, if I keep them from drying out, they love the heat. I grow in containers so must keep them hydrated. πŸ˜ŽπŸ…

CalfeeChick Aw, I'm envious. Your 'maters look so lush! I grow in pots to keep plants safe from gophers and though I put the pots in the coolest places in the yard, tomatoes have deep roots and even big pots are not ideal. And in this heat I have to water two or three times a day to keep the plants alive.

That's allot of nurturing. Mine get a good soaking in the morning and a reviving drink in the evening. I feed with miracle grow every 2 weeks. Where do you live if you don't mind me asking? Lynn

CalfeeChick I'm still in Tujunga (NE edge of the San Fernando Valley) for the next 6 weeks. Then I am pulling up stakes and going back to Central Virginia (in the woods between Richmond and Charlottesville). I'm that rare bird, a native Californian and spent most of my working years here. But I can no longer cope with the heavy traffic and the necessity to travel by freeway to get where I want to go. My daughter lives in Richmond, so it will be lovely to be closer to her.

That's wonderful that you will be closer to your daughter. I'm also a native Californian,(I wonder if others quote themselves as native) I live in Lodi, CA but was born much further north. My daughter lives in South Carolina about 30 miles inland from Charleston. I love visiting back there. I think I would enjoy northwestern SC or NC. Beautiful back there. Of course we'll still get to see you here, but will look forward to hearing about your new home and area. Lynn

Wow! My πŸ… plants are in the blossom stage. Of course, we don't get the β˜€οΈ and heat you do. πŸ’•
