Look what I found in our local grocery store! It took me back to tea time in England. jimeka HeidiK and angelite , what time should we all be there? I'll order a raisin scone-with clotted cream, of course! And a cup of tea with cream and sugar. (I'll worry about the calories later π)
But it's the company I'm most looking forward to! Ah, what a great time we would all have.

jennie62 LOVE orange marmalade! Used to eat it on everything until my tongue acquired "Burning Tongue Syndrome", and now it burns my tongue! We shall not dwell on what foods can no longer eat but be thankful for what we are able to eat, but I do love orange marmalade!
LOTS of CLOTTED CREAM WAshingtongirl LOL! Oh yeah, where can I find some in Upstate New York?
I know exactly how you feel with burning tongue syndrome agapepilgrim ! Too many times I wind up with that because of the foods/drinks I fall in love with - oranges being one.
Wish I could make some marmalade just for the smell!
Wow, didn't think you could get clotted cream in the US.. I made some scones the other day (nothing like what you can get in the UK) and really missed the clotted cream.
Sounds like fun. I need to find out the proper British recipe. If anyone in the UK has a good one I'd like to try it. The best place we had for scones was Betty's Tea Room in Harrogate. I'm sure they wouldn't give away theirs.
You'll have to let us know how it goes. I tried a recipe for Devonshire cream years ago. I think it had cream cheese in it. Nothing like the real thing!
I have wanted to be British for awhile now....what is high tea, what is the difference between grey tea and green tea besides the color and what on earth is Clotted Cream?I guess I should google...all seems so yummy!
