Hi everyone!
With all the thinking we have to do before each step we take, you would think we were all geniuses.
Hi everyone!

HA you would think that positiveness after l tripped over the vacuum cord yesterday. π I think l actually call myself a rocket scientist at the time. ππ π

Gravity tester That is what I always told one of my best friends who was so prone to tripping up and down stairs. She was very helpful when I was studying physics in college & teaching it to high schoolers.
Now I know how this feels! We are with you. Sometimes I trip over invisible things, my computer cord, or stubbing my food against a door jam, my cats are on constant alert, etc.
You got this, stay vertical !!
Oh, golly, I love your sense of humor. Gravity tester...yup, it's still there. I will remember this the next time I trip over the dog or miss a step. Thank you!!!
It is mentally exhausting at times and other people don't get it. I made the mistake of closing my eyes in the shower this morning and almost fell out the tub...lol! How many women, besides myself have tripped trying to walk sexy in a cute outfit...like you used to? πππ
Yes, it is mentally exhausting.
Just call me Einstein ! : )) x
I agree it can be mentally exhausting, having to budget energy, factor in physical difficulties etc. Without my vision, I'm sunk, balance wise. So if I'm going to be out after dark I need to remember to have a torch with me. On the rare occasion I realise I've forgotten it, panic sets in ! Wind blowing my hair in my eyes, driving rain that makes you constantly blink, car headlights blinding me, foggy conditions. Having to wait for a huge gap in traffic as you are slower crossing roads/cannot judge traffic distance. Being hyper aware of the surface you are currently walking on and the one coming up ahead. Crowds - ugh ! Having to preempt who/what needs to be manouvered around ( yes, a surprising number of people continue bearing down on you and expect You to move out of Their way, even though you are lurching with a stick ! This is difficult when you have blurry vision and cannot change direction with any speed ! ) Tight spaces where you can't walk with your usual wide, balanced gait. Being buffered by crowds and constantly having to adjust balance. Busses and their urgent need to set off before you are seated, throwing you across the isle ! The urge to scream ' I'ts more than just a 'limp' , you know !'
I'm exhausted just thinking about it ! : )) x
angelite so glad I'm not the only one that panics when I see my path cluttered by people walking by or narrowed paths π¬
It's crazy how you can call over nothing!!! I know where EVERYTHING is on my floor! πππ Even my dog learned real fast as a pup not to get under my feet, or stop in front of me. That didn't go well for either of us π’π’ But to trip on something you know is there? Ugh you lm a rocket scientist. Umhm that's what l am. πππ
Hope you all are ready for the Holidays π

My old girl has learned to walk a safe distance behind me if I'm not using the stick to allow for the stop/start/staggery right thing, bless her. So you Can teach an old dog new tricks !
She is sooo patient. Not even I would want to walk behind me ! : )) x
yes --- stairs are a real challenge also
LOL! Now that's something I've never before been accused of!!!
= ) Nothing wrong with that.
My husband has drop foot due to CMT, which runs in his family. One of his aunts used to say that they would trip over a hair on the floor.
Positiveness, it's Fancy1959. I firmly support your thesis that we're all geniuses. We always have to look outside the box to figure out ways to make life work for us. We also must all have engineering degrees and architecture degrees also! We have to look at the obstacles we have to walk over and through with a mind of a genius and the eye of an eagle in order to clear the obstacle course of life still standing on our feet! I love this post Positiveness!πππLOL!
