Hi There

The symptoms you are describing potentially sound like radiculopathy - irritation of the nerve roots that exit the cervical spinal cord due to compression. It can feel like itching burning, tingling aka neurogenic pain. Have you had a recent MRI scan/report as that would give you more information?

If not & certainly if these symptoms are new - a trip to your Dr would be in order to be referred for one.

Good luck.

Unfortunately my GP will not send me for anymore scans of any sort as it won't change how they are treating me for the pain I experience (basically keep taking tablets and go away) of course not in them words. I have though had a referral back to my neurologist but I've got to wait till September to see her. My actual diagnosis is.

The MRI scan of the cervical spine showed moderate narrowing of the left C3/C4 and mild narrowing of left C5/C6 and C6/C7 neural exit foramina from a small disc osteophyte. There is multilevel degenerative spinal spondylosis noted but no significant compression identified. The spinal canal is capacious. The spinal cord signal is normal. A note is made of prominent central canal within the upper thoracic cord.

In conclusion, no significant abnormality is seen.

Don't understand how if something is moderate and then something else is mild how there is no abnormality shown. Doesn't make much sense to me all I know is that it hurts and effects everything I do . And I also have a spine with no bottom curvature.

Not what you're looking for?
